Unusual Risks were recently approached by Richard (Aged 44) who is a Management Consultant for a large multi-national company …
His company had asked him to work in Singapore for a period of two years, which meant he had found it difficult to obtain Mortgage Life Insurance and Critical Illness Cover on the mortgage he had just taken on a new property based in London.
Before approaching Unusual Risks Richard had already been offered Life Insurance and Critical Illness Cover elsewhere, but this was on an “Annual Renewable Contract”. He didn’t feel comfortable with this type of Insurance, because the terms of the Insurance can be altered on renewal by the Insurance Company.
We were asked to find him a policy that was more permanent, even though he was going to be spending time abroad. Unusual Risks are experienced at finding Life Insurance and Critical Illness plans for business people who are going to be spending time outside of the United Kingdom with their occupation.
In this case we arranged Decreasing Term Assurance, with Critical Illness Cover included in the plan for the same amount as Richard’s Mortgage. We introduced him to a large UK Insurance Company, who were friendly towards his travel and career plans.
